They've got a real problem on their hands in America. A gap is growing between manufacturing workers set to retire in the next 10 to 15 years and the workers needed to fill their vacancies. Despite the exciting and innovative things happening in the manufacturing industry, Millennials’ outdated perception of shop-floor jobs is increasingly precluding them from following the manufacturing career path. And Gen-Z, thumb deep in their smart phones, have an even greater disconnect. The reality is manufacturing continues to evolve with other industries. Many of today’s workers have tech-savvy jobs that require using software to model products with 3D visualization tools, mining big data with analytics, and automating assembly with robotics. From procurement to design, building, delivery, and service, there are considerable opportunities for the workforce—not to mention extensive room for growth—at some of the world’s largest companies.

It is difficult to sum up exactly what Rolex is. In addition to being one of the most widely known names in luxury, it is a historic watch maker, success story of modern industrialization, social (and arguably actual) currency, and vertically integrated empire that guards its secrets closely.

Customer satisfaction is the number one priority for every electronics company. Company and employees have to be committed to providing quality products and services that meet or exceed our customer’s requirements through ongoing continuous improvement to services, processes, product functionality, reliability and cost. Furthermore, through total employee involvement and teamwork, the company should be dedicated to its own growth, which enhances customer satisfaction, creates jobs, provides opportunities for advancement, and improves employee self-esteem.

What should be a great time for global manufacturers has proven to be anything but. Production problems have caused trouble for many of the world’s largest and most successful companies, including Apple and Google. Both suffered “supply constraints” during the all-important holiday quarter.  The trouble has at least Apple joining a growing list to return a portion of their production work to North America. According to the Institute of Supply Management’s monthly index, U.S. production rose to 53.1 in January from 50.2 the month prior. Not since April has American manufacturing activity achieved such a fever pitch.
